For over twenty-five years, Sam King has focused his practice on assisting clients in the resolution of commercial disputes and debt-related issues through settlement or, if necessary, litigation. Through these years of experience, Sam has become especially adept at quickly understanding facts, legal issues and disputes presented to him by clients, and developing successful strategies to efficiently and effectively obtain the relief which they seek.

Sam also has extensive training and experience in commercial litigation in a variety of areas including insurance claims, copyright actions, employment disputes, contractor and construction litigation, intellectual property claims, and debt disputes. He has successfully litigated civil cases in state and federal courts, before judges and juries, and has extensive experience in the litigation of disputes in arbitration. He also completed litigation training programs including a trial advocacy course conducted by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and the Department of Justice.

Sam is also particularly skilled in representing various parties in business bankruptcy proceedings. He has had extensive experience and training in this field, including his service as a Judicial Clerk for the Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nebraska, and then for six years as an attorney for the U.S. Trustee’s Office where he supervised bankruptcy trustees and cases, and assisted in the formulation and monitoring of Chapter 11 unsecured creditor committees. This experience allowed Sam to successfully represent various parties in bankruptcy proceedings, including banks, landlords, tenants, vendors, software businesses, bankruptcy trustees, and Chapter 11 Debtors.
